Care:

• Choose a nice vase, preferably one made of glass. With a vase that is transparent, you can clearly see whether the flowers are still getting enough water and whether the water is clean.
• Flowers are thirsty. They therefore need a lot of clean water to do well. Cut the ends of the stems diagonally, about 2 to 4 cm diagonally with a clean, sharp knife.
• Remove any excess leaves from the underside of the stems and any packaging material. Add flower food to the water.
• Do not place the bouquet near a window with direct sunlight or heating, and preferably not near fruit (the gases from fruit cause flowers to wilt quickly).

Tips:

• Choose a vase that matches the type of bouquet. For an airy picking bouquet, use a vase with a tapered neck. This way you keep the different stems together nicely. A broad and classic bouquet? Then choose a vase with a wider neck.
• Roses may have brown petals on the outside. These petals are called bracts and serve to protect the delicate inner petals of the rose. Carefully remove the outer petals of the rose if you don't like them.
• Florists prefer to deliver flowers in fresh bud. Give the flowers about 24 to 48 hours to open nicely, so that you can still enjoy them!
